Hi-Res Video Engineer
VHC is seeking a skilled Video Technician with a strong background in operating video switchers on show site. As a crucial part of our team, the ideal candidate will manage video feeds, transitions, and overlays during live corporate events. They must demonstrate proficiency in handling various input sources and executing precise cue timing to ensure a flawless client experience. Attention to detail, adaptability to changing requirements, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure are essential qualities for success in this role.
Responsible for:
Operating Analog Way switchers and vMix on showsite
Oversee the onsite build out and teching of video systems
Address and solve technical issues on job site
Assist in managing video equipment in the warehouse
Evaluate show drawings and prep video gear accordingly
Assist in managing inventory allocation during busy seasons
Assist in maintaining video equipment, i.e., projectors, screens, and other show gear
Work with the video department lead to develop equipment purchase plans
Required Experience and Skills:
Video Switching on high-res switchers or broadcast switchers
Understand complex video signal transport and the equipment
Building projection screens and focusing projectors
Corporate comm etiquette and interaction
Video playback operation, i.e., Playback Pro, ProPresenter, Mitti, Millumin, and other industry software
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Networking and network management
RTMP streaming via VMIX or Encoder
VMIX operating
Elgato Streamdeck and companion programming
Basic Vectorworks
PTZ setup and operation
Studio camera setup and operation, including box lenses
